Descrizione
The Grace Of Losers is the sixth full lenght album of The Strange Flowers. It comes after a carrier that covered over 3 decades, spent speaking all accents of the ancient psychedelic tongue.
According to the band, The Grace Of Losers is by far their best album ever. The psychedelic dilatations of the past, even if still present, leave room to the fairy visions of paisley-pop, to the irony of beat, to the impetus of garage-rock.
A constant trademark of The Strange Flowers path is an incredible ability of getting close to true success and celebrity and systematically blowing it or being overcome by unpredictable drawbacks. Yet, this somehow poetic feature almost always reflected some sort of purity, the refuse of compromising, the will of keeping the integrity and the honesty of a musical project which purposes were fulfilled regardless of success.
The Strange Flowers have performed countless gigs all over Europe and have shared the stage with psychedelic legends as The Electric Prunes, The Fuzztones, The Prime Movers, making them known as one of the most remarkable acts of modern psychedelic rock, also thanks to their videoshows.
The current line-up includes Michele Marinò (vocals & guitars), Nicola Cionini (guitars), Alessandro Santoni (bass), Matteo D'Ignazi (drums). Additional non musician stable members of the family are Giulia Altobelli, who takes care of the videoshow and has directed The Strange Flowers videos and documentaries, sound engineer Maurizio Rosoni, and manager Joachim Friedmann.
The following people have shared the Strange Flowers dream in the past: Giovanni Bruno (guitars, 1987-2006), Maurizio Falciani (drums, 1987-2006), Stefano Montefiori (bass, 1989-2006), Alessandro Pardini (bass, 1987-1989), Toni Boselli (drums, 2006), Ludovico Marinò (bass, 1994), Gabriele Pozzolini (drums, 2006-2011), Pierpaolo Magnani (videoshow, 2006-2009).
